Summary: The property is beautiful on the outside (building, vegetation, and view) and the aerial view of restaurant is absolutely amazing! The rooms are bare-bones (dormitory bedding with comfortable mattresses) and dated (80s/90s-style), with minimal on fabric bedding (pillows, blankets, and decor). Yet, the rooms are functional and comfortable. The heater is a bit slow so the winter nighttime is brisk in the room (late June). When we first arrived the water was brown and bubbling out of the pipes, but this cleared up after about 10 minutes of running the water. The staff were friendly and the food was great. We enjoyed the location, as the hotel is in an outside of the city and on top of a nice, hilly neighborhood.

Summary: Great view of the city. Old world charm. Lovely outside terraces. Nice restaurant for dinners frequented by locals. Effortless parking. Genuinely friendly and dedicated people. Very close to Joe’s Beerhouse, too. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Windhoek, and recommended it highly.
